Description:

Spruce Creek Camp is along the Salmon Creek Trail, just upstream from the junction with the Spruce Creek Trail.  The main camp is situated in a large flat shaded by lofty oaks and bay laurels, just before the trail crosses Spruce Creek. It contains ample room for tents, a picninc table, fire ring, and pit toilet. An overflow camp with room for a few more tents is located beside Salmon Creek, just after the trail crosses Spruce Creek. The Salmon Creek Trailhead is by far the most popular access point for visitors to the camp.

Camp Description:We only passed through, but this looked like a great site for a "quick" hike. It's a pretty brutal climb to get there, initially, but the trail isn't exposed in many places, and the site itself is really lovely. Across the site you could probably fit three tents, more if you're a big group and willing to squeeze. Two tables.
Water Source:Flowing
Water Source Details:Lots of water! Deep pools, strong flow, inviting enough you want to jump in it!
Weather Conditions:Mild

Camp Description:Camp was reasonably busy on a Thursday and Friday evening.  Lots of day hikers/trail runners/other backpackers going through.  And then Friday evening some campers showed up at 11 p.m. and started setting up their tent -- right next to where we were camping!  Of course shining their headlamps at our tent. Nice spot other than the traffic, lol, we had a great time exploring and bouldering.

Camp Description:Recently had to be rescued by Cal Fire at spruce creek due to rapidly raising water level. When we crossed the water was at ankle to knee high. The next day it rained about an inch and the water level rose 4 feet making the cross back unsafe. Before you commit to crossing make sure the weather does not call for rain or you will be unable to get across safely. There is no cell phone service out there so plan accordingly.

Water Source Details:With the recent rains the creek is flowing very rapidly
