Located at Cachuma Saddle, the McKinley Road Gate is locked to prevent vehicles from going up the McKinley Road.  The gate is passable for hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians.  From here the road heads up towards Hells Half Acre, McKinley Springs Camp, Big Cone Spruce Trail and ultimately the Mission Pine Trail.

Parking is available at Cachuma Saddle either down in the lower parking lot or just down from the gate at the upper area.
