The Lower Oso Gate is located along the River Road towards Red Rock just upstream from where the Upper Oso Rd forks to the north.  This gate is generally open all the time but has had periods in the past where it was closed for extended time due to rock slides and/or bridge repairs. 

If this gate is locked you can still get to Upper Oso but you cannot drive to any of the dayuse areas further up towards Red Rock.
