This is the locked gate up Hi Mountain Road when coming up the Arroyo Grande side above Lopez Lake.  The gate is managed by SLO County and while usually open, can be closed during the wet season.  Beyond the gate is a high clearance road with a few creek crossings and a couple steep climbs before hitting another gate at the Los Padres Forest Boundary.
