Camp Description:Fresno is a reliable watersource but a terrible campground. I wish someone had told us to avoid.
It is the last reliable water I can see between Vicente area and Trail Springs, for this it is useful. However, getting to the campground is a 1.5 mile slog through extremely overgrown bramble. The NFS map says this trail is maintained, but this is not apparent at all. There's a lot of bushwacking; poison oak is in the trail and completely unavoidable. The campground, your reward for the slog, is covered in fields of poison oak and very friendly to mosquitoes. It's not pleasant. Goat, Ojito, Vicente are much nicer.
If you're planning an overnight route, would not recommend going here unless you have to.
Water Source:Flowing
Water Source Details:Creek is strong, looks like water would be present all year
Weather Conditions:Sunny, didn't get below 50 degrees.
