Fremont campground is located off Paradise Road in Santa Barbara County. Fremont is a car camping facility set amongst shady oak trees along the Santa Ynez River Valley. The campground is open from mid-March through late-October. There are 14 large family campsites (some can be reserved) with limits of 8 persons per site with a 14 day stay limit. There is a cost to stay at Fremont, contact the Santa Barbara Ranger District for specific details. Fremont Campground includes flush toilets, potable water, garbage bins and each site includes a picnic table, barbeque and fire ring.
Fremont is close to a large variety of hiking and mount ain biking trails. The Fremont Trail can be accessed through the back of the campground and eventually winds its way up to East Camino Cielo. Fremont is also within a few miles of multiple day-use picnic areas along the Santa Ynez River that are popular with anglers and creek goers.
