Camp Description: | Water is back behind the main campsite by a hundred feet or so. Maybe I missed the true source, but this seemed awfuly light flow.
If you are coming from below at Church Divide, there is a slight trickle crossing the trail about 2 minutes below Divide Camp. The flow was the same as I found at Divide Camp, but much easier to access.
A few minutes up the trail at the unnamed blue line creek, the water was flowing hard. So if hiking from the uphill side to Divide Camp, I'd recommend tanking up there. You could even entertain hiking up from Divide Camp for about 10 minutes or so to get water if you need to. |

Water Source Details: | Water was trickling in a number of spots, but the easiest place to get it was on the hillside behind camp. A solid trickle that you could put a water bottle under |

Camp Description: | Four of us spent the night on a Saturday night and had the place to ourselves. Everyone else we met on the trail went over to Pine Valley.Â
Campsite:Â The site is lovely -- really nicely set up for a small group set up camp. There's a fire ring (no campfires!) with a grate, logs to sit on, and a nearby flat spot to lay our mats down on. One member of our group even strung her hammock up between two nearby trees.Â
The abundance of horsetail and ferns makes it clear that this must be a pretty wet site at certain times of the year. But it was dry when we were there, and there weren't even that many mosquitoes.Â
Water: our maps indicated a stream down the trail, so we hoofed it twenty minutes past the camp to get our first round of water. The stream was lovely - lots of little pools and mini-cascades. But trail there were several trees across the trail and lots of overgrown vegetation. So, for our next refill, we explored around camp and found a tiny stream behind the camp with just enough flow over a rock to give us some water. There were also a couple of trickles across the trail on the way in that could have worked in a pinch.Â
Trail:Â The trail from the Church Creek Divide to Divide Camp was mostly clear. There is one spot near the beginning that is about to be lost to a landslide. And a few trees across the trail. But otherwise easy to follow. The turnoff to the camp is well marked.Â
