Big Caliente - Forest Rd 5N16 Survey - 01-31-2015 - by FPLink: Big Caliente - Forest Rd 5N16 Date: 01-31-2015 Surveyor Name: FP Trail description: Road to Pendola Ranger Station is extremely bumpy, long, and winding. Gate at road leading to Hot Springs was closed, with a sign saying "Hot Springs are Closed". Parked my car at gate and biked the 2.5 miles to the Hot Springs. I didn't see a reason why they might have closed it. There didn't seem to be anybody at the ranger home, either. All shutters were closed. Perhaps they close the rode when the ranger isn't there. Mode of transport: Bicycle Images:
