Nacimiento Campground Survey - 07-17-2020 - by Anonymous Surveyor

Camp Description:From what I've heard, this is usually not a very busy campground and it is easy to nab a spot on any given weekend. Due to COVID-19, there are a lot more people trying to go camping than in past years. Add in that most campgrounds are booked out for months and you've got a recipe for heavy competition at first-come first-serve spots like this one. The campground was full by mid-morning on Friday. People were driving through all weekend hoping to find a spot. Camp fees were $20 per night for 1 vehicle and an extra $10 per night for each additional vehicle. The campground is noisy. It is small, so you will be hearing noise from your neighbors. It is also right next to the road, so you will be hearing cars drive by all the time. The campground has a water spigot and two pit toilets. The toilet paper was running out. I would recommend bringing any extra roll, just in case. There is no trash can or dumpster at the campground. Plan to pack out your trash.
