Camp Description: | I hiked up Baldwin Ranch Road from Ragged Point Inn to get out of the fog. Clear and beautiful on road following ridge top. At the County Line Rd intersection you keep following the ridge north where you'll find the rough remains of a road or trail all the way to Mt. Mars and running down the other side. It's a bushwhack with some poison oak, but I did it in shorts with minimal bloodshed. The summit is flat, unmarked, and unimpressive, but there's a meadow with a great view on the west side. I saw where some have hiked the northeast ridge towards Dutra Flat - looked doable but rough. |
