Camuesa Peak Survey - 12-11-2021 - by Darryl Scheck
Link: Camuesa Peak
Date: 12-11-2021
Surveyor Name:Darryl Scheck
Camp Description:- Actual Peak Location 34.54739680693957, -119.68976731470151

- Actual height of peak approximately 3160 feet. Not 4180.

- North side of peak was still frosty even at 4pm (limited sun exposure in the fall/winter for the north side).  Even though there has been limited rain the shaded soil on the north side of the peak was "dampish".

- Did an E-bike in. Road was in decent shape if somewhat powdery in the exposed sections, but that should change given next week's rain. Rideable all the way until the end of the road at the turnaround perhaps 1/4 mile past the peak. Easy in and out from Upper Oso with about 3000 feet of total climb from Upper Oso round trip. Saw a Forest Association truck coming down Camuesa Road!
